Pendulum Readings/ Dowsing

Any form of divination that involves the use of a non-electrical instrument to detect energy fields that leads it in a certain direction is called dowsing.

Every object and living thing raiates a fine amount of energy. This energy is strong enough to move the dowsing instrument. The most popular instruments used in general dowsing are pendulums and pointing rods.

The most common instrument used in divination readings is a pendulum. One may also use one's hands or fingers. As a matter of fact, when you are asked to pick cards from a spread for a Tarot reading, you are dowsing!

The type of dowsing tool I use in my practice are crystal and metal pendulums. Pendulums can be made from anything - a washer, a ring, a crystal, whatever weight is just heavy enough to pull down a string while you hold it without snapping.

Dowsing has been practiced for thousands of years. Pharaohs in Ancient Eygpt used them to help them determine where to build foundations or dig for water. In more recent times, farmers have used to locate water sources, find lost items, and determine problematic areas to remedy.

There are 2 types of Pendulum Readings I do:

  • Yes/No Readings

  • Fan Chart Readings: In this reading, the pendulum is held over a fan chart and a question is asked. The pendulum will start swinging in the direction of the section of the pie chart that has the accurate answer.
